First-Time Visitors to India
Great for first-timers looking for a gentle, well-supported introduction to the country.
There’s a particular kind of quiet you only get in Rishikesh — Ganga mist rolling off the water at sunrise, the Himalayas standing still in the background and not much else stirring except temple bells. That stillness is really the starting point of everything we do here.
At Neeraj Ganga Rajmahal Wellness Dream, Ayurveda comes first. Every stay package is built around a proper consultation, personalised treatments and a slower pace of healing rather than a packed itinerary. Yoga is woven into each day too but it sits alongside the Ayurveda, not in front of it — more like a gentle daily practice rather than the main event.
We have curated this Ayurveda & Yoga Retreat in Rishikesh for UK Travellers specifically with British guests in mind so you get authenticity without losing comfort. Choose from a focused 5-day reset or a deeper 10-day programme, depending on how much time you can give yourself.
Most wellness retreats promise a lot and deliver a rushed schedule. We've gone the other way. Everything here is built around genuine Ayurvedic care with enough breathing room in the day that you actually get to rest, not just tick boxes on an itinerary.
Ayurveda remains at the heart of every programme, with yoga included as a daily practice rather than the headline activity.
Stay in comfortable, private rooms positioned right on the banks of the sacred Ganga.
Meet a certified practitioner for a personal consultation before any treatment begins, ensuring your care is tailored to you.
Clear, upfront pricing in pounds with no hidden charges or unexpected additions along the way.
Enjoy organic, home-style meals prepared fresh each day with nourishment and simplicity in mind.
From airport pickup to your return transfer, every journey is arranged for you from start to finish.
A wellness experience shaped around authenticity, comfort and exceptional value, designed especially for travellers coming from the UK.
Unlike many other locations that have embraced yoga and Ayurveda just for commercial purposes, Rishikesh is the location where both these practices were born. When you book here, you're learning from the practitioners who have studied this knowledge since childhood through generations of lineage.
We know a long-haul trip already asks a lot of you so we've made sure the basics don't add to that. Rooms come with proper beds, private bathrooms and river views — a world away from the shared dorms and cold showers you'll find at some of the more traditional ashrams nearby.
Compared to what you'd typically pay for a similar wellness break in the UK or Europe, an Ayurveda retreat in Rishikesh for UK travellers here works out considerably better value, without cutting corners on the treatments, food or care you receive
Rishikesh sits where the Himalayan mountains meet the river Ganga and quite frankly, this very setting says a lot for itself. Here, the river flows cool and clear right through the center of the city, through ghats where people have been practicing meditation and bathing for thousands of years. This is also where yoga first took shape, long before it became a global word. Here, mornings start with temple bells rather than traffic and the pace of life slows right down — nature is close by, phones start to feel less urgent and disconnecting from your usual routine happens almost without trying.
We built this retreat around a simple idea, give every guest a wellness experience that feels personal, authentic, and deeply connected to the spiritual energy of Rishikesh.
Reach the river directly from the property without competing for space with the crowds downstream.
Take in the evening Aarti ceremony from a calm, well-arranged spot rather than a packed public ghat.
A gentle guided practice included every day and suited to all levels
Treatments built around your own consultation not a fixed spa menu.
Fresh, plant-based meals cooked daily to support your body through the programme.
A plan shaped around your health and goals not a generic template everyone follows.
Whether you've never set foot in India before or you're after a proper Ayurvedic detox, this retreat tends to fit a wide range of travellers. It's a well-suited yoga retreat in Rishikesh for UK citizens looking for something genuine, comfortable and easy to plan.

Travelling from the UK is a lot simpler than it might sound. Here's everything you'll need to sort before you book your flights.
Getting here is more straightforward than people expect. Most guests fly from London Heathrow to Delhi which takes around 9 hours. From Delhi, you'll catch a short connecting flight to Dehradun and from there it's roughly a 45-minute transfer to the. All in, including the connection, you're looking at somewhere between 12 and 15 hours of total travel time.
UK citizens do need a visa to enter India. The simplest route is the Indian e-Visa which you apply for online ahead of your trip through the official government portal. Fees and requirements can shift from time to time so it's worth checking the latest details shortly before you travel.
October through March is the ideal window. The weather is cooler and far more comfortable which makes it a great stretch for both yoga sessions and slow walks along the river.
India sits about 4.5 to 5.5 hours ahead of the UK, depending on the time of year — a much smaller adjustment than travelling from the US. Most guests settle in quickly especially if they get outside for some daylight soon after arriving, drink plenty of water and skip the long naps on day one.
Keep it simple: breathable, modest clothing works well for both yoga and everyday wear around town. Bring a light jacket or shawl for cooler evenings and comfortable walking shoes for the ghats and uneven ground near the river.
A typical day here moves at an unhurried pace, built around treatment, movement and proper rest. Here's what that actually looks like once you arrive.
01
Every guest is welcome to join a daily yoga and meditation session, included as part of the retreat at no extra cost. It's here to complement your Ayurvedic programme, gently supporting the body and mind alongside your treatments.
02
Ayurveda sits at the heart of everything we do. Panchakarma is its most well-known detox process, with a series of treatments designed to cleanse and rebalance the body.

Each evening, guests can take part in a calm, thoughtfully arranged Ganga Aarti. The traditional river ceremony brings together chanting, lamplight and the peaceful atmosphere of the Ganges.
04
Meals here follow the sattvic tradition. Fresh, plant-based and thoughtfully prepared, each meal is designed to support your Ayurvedic treatment with simple, balanced and locally sourced ingredients.
Before any treatment begins, every guest sits down for a one-to-one consultation with our Ayurvedic practitioner. It's not a quick chat — the practitioner goes through your health history, listens to what you're hoping to get out of your stay and puts together a treatment plan built specifically around you, rather than a standard package everyone receives.
We'll need the practitioner's name, qualifications and years of experience confirmed.
